What it is and why it matters

Reaktion MCP is a remote MCP server at https://api.reaktion.com/mcp, hosted by Reaktion (Reaktion.com ApS), an e-commerce analytics and tracking company. It gives ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Gemini read access to the data connected to a Reaktion organisation: store orders and costs from Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento 2 or Dandomain, spend and conversions from Google Ads, Meta Ads, Pinterest Ads, TikTok Ads and Google Merchant Center, sessions from Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Klaviyo email and SMS, the affiliate networks Adtraction and Partner Ads, and custom cash flows. The documentation lists 1,204 metric definitions, 68 dimensions, 467 attributes and 44 ready-made prompts.

The point of the server is profit reporting in plain language. Every metric carries its basis (VAT treatment, refund treatment and conversion source), store financials are reported excluding VAT and after refunds, and paid-channel ROAS and POAS are labelled as attributed conversions that can include VAT and are before refunds, so the two are not compared by mistake. The server is read-only and permission-aware: it never changes campaigns, budgets or flows, and a user sees only the organisations their Reaktion login can already access.

What it does

  • Answers reporting questions from store orders and costs, Google Ads, Meta, Pinterest and TikTok Ads, Merchant Center, GA4, Search Console, Klaviyo, affiliate sources and custom cash flows
  • Runs four reporting tools in order (inspect_reporting, prepare_report, export_report, read_report) and five inventory tools for the user, organisations, data sources and accounts
  • Reports across several stores or client organisations in each organisation's reporting currency, with agency clients kept separate
  • Ships 44 ready-made prompts for executive reporting, profitability, Google Ads, paid social, retention, products, CRO, messaging and agency work

Best for

Merchants and agencies already on Reaktion who want profit-based answers (POAS, gross and net profit, new-customer profit) in ChatGPT or Claude without building dashboards.

How to connect it

  1. Have a Reaktion account whose organisation has the data sources connected that you want to ask about: store, ad accounts, GA4, Search Console, Klaviyo. The MCP reports only on data Reaktion already holds.
  2. In Claude (claude.ai or the Claude Desktop app), add Reaktion as a connector using the server URL https://api.reaktion.com/mcp and sign in with your Reaktion user. The vendor says this takes about two minutes and no code, and links its own installation guide from the documentation page.
  3. In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode, add the Reaktion connector with the same URL and sign in with your Reaktion account. The vendor links a separate installation guide for ChatGPT.
  4. In Gemini, add Reaktion under Connected Apps as a custom MCP server and sign in with your Reaktion account. The vendor links an installation guide for Gemini.
  5. In Grok, the vendor's guide is for Grok Bot: you paste one message in the Grok Bot chat, which adds the Reaktion MCP and walks you through authorization.
  6. Start with an inventory question, such as which organisations and data sources the connection can see, before asking for a report. Name the store or client, the period and what you want to decide in every prompt.

Exact commands and addresses change. Use the official documentation for the current steps.

Questions you can ask it

  • Compare yesterday with the same weekday last week for every connected store: orders, sales excluding VAT after refunds, gross profit, net profit and ad spend. Flag incomplete recent data.
  • For the last 30 completed days, compare channel spend, primary attributed revenue, ROAS and POAS, and show store-level MER separately. Note that platform conversions can overlap.
  • Rank Google Ads campaigns for the last 30 completed days by primary POAS, spend and conversion volume, and separate the campaigns with too little data.
  • Group the last 30 days of Google Ads results by search term and list terms with meaningful spend and no primary purchase conversions, marking brand terms.
  • Compare campaigns by new-customer revenue, new-customer profit and New Customer POAS over the last completed month, with the conversion source and refund basis stated.
  • Rank products by sales excluding VAT, units sold, gross profit and return rate over the last 90 days, at product and variant level.
  • Across my client organisations, compare the last seven completed days with the previous seven and rank clients by declines in profit, orders or marketing efficiency, keeping each client separate.
  • Rank Klaviyo flows and sendouts over the last 30 completed days by deliveries, unique opens, unique clicks and attributed revenue, with the revenue basis stated.

What it cannot do

  • It cannot change anything: no budget moves, no campaign edits, no changes to Klaviyo flows. It can recommend, and you act in the platform.
  • It reports only on data connected to your Reaktion organisation. A metric being in the catalog does not mean your organisation has it: your sources must support it at that breakdown, and the report metadata says whether the values are reliable.
  • Net profit needs cost settings (product costs, shipping, payment fees and custom cash flows). Without them the metric is labelled unavailable rather than estimated.
  • Custom formulas and account or row filters are not supported yet. You break results down with dimensions and ask the assistant to focus on the rows you care about.
  • It does not return customer emails, names, phone numbers or addresses. Customer analysis works on anonymous IDs and aggregated attributes such as market, segment and consent state.

Staying safe

  • The server is read-only by design and reads only what your Reaktion user can access, so the main control is who holds that login.
  • For agencies, each client organisation is kept separate and client data is never merged. Still name the client in every prompt so the report is about the right organisation.
  • Check the basis of every number before sharing it: store profit is excluding VAT after refunds, paid-channel ROAS and POAS are on attributed conversions that can include VAT before refunds, and ratios must be recalculated from their parts rather than added or averaged.
  • Compare completed periods and matching weekdays. Refunds land after the order and each source reports in its own timezone, so the last few days keep updating.

Watch out for: Needs a Reaktion account with connected data sources and reports only on data Reaktion holds. Paid-channel ROAS and POAS use attributed conversions that can include VAT before refunds, so they are not the same basis as store profit, which is excluding VAT after refunds. Pricing, trial terms and plan requirements are not stated in the documentation.

Step-by-step: install Reaktion MCP in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and more →

+

Do I need a Reaktion account, and what does it cost?

Yes. You sign in with your Reaktion user and see only the organisations that user can already access. The documentation does not state pricing, trial terms or plan requirements for the MCP; the page has a free trial button that leads to a Reaktion sign-up page and a demo button that leads to a booking page, and nothing more about cost.

+

Can it change my campaigns or budgets?

No. It is read-only and never changes campaigns, budgets or flows. It can recommend budget moves or negative keywords, and you make the changes in the ad platform.

+

Why does ROAS from the Reaktion MCP differ from the ad platform?

Reaktion uses your organisation's primary conversion setup, which can include server-side tracked orders the pixel missed, and it reports ROAS and POAS on attributed conversions including VAT before refunds. The Tracking Uplift metric shows how many extra orders Reaktion recovers.
