What is an MCP server?

The connector between an AI assistant and a business tool. Once connected, you ask the assistant about your ad account, store or email data in plain language and it answers from the live data, within the permissions you grant.

How to read a listing

Read-only:
can look at data, cannot change anything.
Read and write:
can also change things, so approve actions carefully.
Remote:
hosted by the vendor, usually a sign-in.
Local:
runs on your own computer, you manage credentials.

How to choose

  1. Start with read-only servers for reporting and audits.
  2. Match the server to the question: ads, store, email or payments.
  3. Prefer vendor-published servers over unknown third-party ones.
  4. Add write access later, for one supervised task at a time.

Listings are descriptive, not endorsements. The MCP ecosystem changes fast, so confirm details in the vendor documentation before connecting production accounts. Missing a server? The site is operated by Reaktion; reach us through reaktion.com.
